Current and Historic PPG

The most up-to-date information shows that at the end of academic year 2025 15.3% of the total school population are, or have been, entitled to claim ‘Free School Meals’ (FSM) at some time in the last six years during their primary school education. The entitlement figure had been stable but, in recent years, had started to show signs of decline. However, for the financial year 2025/26 the school will receive a total grant of £120400, an increase of approximately £2000 on the previous year.

Data Analysis

The last published set of national data was released at the end of academic year 2024-25. There were 15 PPG pupils in the 2025 Y6 cohort (9 boys and 6 girls). This represented 24.5% of the cohort of 61 pupils.

Reading, Writing and Maths Combined

47% of Ings Farm PPG children in 2025 achieved the combined measure of Reading/Writing/Maths at ‘Expected Standard’ and 0% achieved the ‘Higher Standard’. This compares to a national overall pass rate of 65% at the ‘Expected Standard’ and 9% achieving the ‘Higher Standard’.

Reading

Of the 15 PPG children, 80% achieved the ‘Expected Standard’ and 13% achieved the ‘Higher Standard’ in Reading in 2025 compared to a national figure of 77% achieving the ‘Expected Standard’ and 29% achieving the ‘Higher Standard’.

Writing

Of the 15 PPG children, 53% achieved the ‘Expected Standard’ and 7% achieved the ‘Greater Depth’ grade in Writing in 2025 compared to a national pass rate of 76% at ‘Expected Standard’ and 13% working at ‘Greater Depth’.

EGPS

Of the 15 PPG children, 60% achieved the ‘Expected Standard’ and 20% achieved the ‘Greater Depth’ grade in English grammar, punctuation and spelling in 2025 compared to a national pass rate of 75% at the ‘Expected Standard’ and 32% at ‘Greater Depth’.

Mathematics

Of the 15 PPG children, 60% achieved the ‘Expected Standard’ and 7% achieved the ‘High Standard’ in Mathematics in 2025 compared to a national figure of 77% at the ‘Expected Standard’ and 30% at ‘Greater Depth’.
