SEND

What is the local offer?

The local offer provides information on what services children, young people and their families can expect from a range of local agencies, including education, health and social care. Knowing what is out there gives you more choice and therefore more control over what support is right for your child.

What does it include?

The local offer provides information on a number of things, including:

  • Special educational provision.

  • Health provision.

  • Social care provision.

  • Other educational provision.

  • Training provision.

  • Travel arrangements for children and young people to schools, colleges and early years education.

  • Preparing for adulthood, including housing, employment and leisure opportunities.

What are the admission arrangement for children with SEND?

The school follows Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council’s ‘Admissions Policy’. Pupils identified with low-level SEND have the same rights of admission as all other prospective pupils, and pupils with ‘Education Health Care Plans’ are also admitted following this same policy (ensuring that the school can meet the child’s SEND needs, as defined in the ‘SEND Code of Practice’).

If you require any more information regarding any documents on our website,  please contact the SEND Lead, Mrs. Ley, using the credentials on the ‘Contact Us’ page. Our SEND policy can be accessed via the following link:
